The Nick Virgilio Writers House is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive space for creativity in the Waterfront South District of Camden, New Jersey. Weather permitting, we prefer to hold our poetry readings and events in the garden of our backyard. We always strive to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests. Our first floor is ADA compliant, while the second and third floors are unfortunately not. We hope to one day earn a grant in order to expand the accessibility of our building’s upper floors.
The Nick Virgilio Writers House has both a wheelchair accessible ramp and restrooms on the first floor.
We have assistive listening systems available upon request.
Closed captioning is available over our Zoom meetings and YouTube videos.
Large print copies of our books are available through print on demand services.
A sign language interpreter is available at our poetry readings with advance notice.
